Pickleball Instructor

The Pickleball Instructor is responsible for building our ever-growing pickleball program, along with delivering classes, private lessons, and workshops to the community. This includes teaching pickleball classes, private lessons, and clinics for youth, teens, and adults.

Essential Duties + Responsibilities:

• Create a pickleball curriculum for the program with the flexibility to adapt to community needs
• Promote pickleball to members to increase participation rates
• Partner with Marketing for promotional events or social media campaigns as needed
• Adhere to the pickleball schedule and ensure courts are set up and ready for members
• Ensure proper equipment is ordered and maintained with support from the Sports Supervisor
• Greet all participants with a positive attitude and always represent the program in a professional manner
• Keep attendance of all classes while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all
• Explain the rules of the game, the rating system, and practice technical skills to support members in reaching their overall goals
• Oversee pickleball matches and offer tips on improving performance
• Promote and teach one-on-one private lessons and workshops
• Ensure all equipment is accounted for and put away at the end of the program
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications::

• 3+ years’ experience playing or coaching a pickleball program
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have experience teaching pickleball classes for long-term semesters, private lessons, and one-off workshops
• Knowledge of designing a program that can meet the needs of the community
• Ability to work with adults highly preferred
• Flexible schedule required
