Community Program Development + Outreach Coordinator
The Outreach Coordinator will develop, coordinate and implement outreach efforts to build and maintain community connections, leading to new referrals, brand awareness, grant and sponsorship opportunities, all resulting in programmatic growth for social service programs, with a specific focus on the aging population and SJJCC at large.
Essential Duties + Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute outreach plans to reach diverse populations
- Build relationships with community organizations, schools, libraries, senior centers, senior housing, medical professionals, places of worship, and government agencies
- Coordinate and facilitate outreach events, workshops, and presentations
- Partner with Director of Social Services Center to showcase expertise as leaders in the field to new audiences
- Represent the organization at community events and conferences
- Collaborate with Program Staff to ensure a seamless referral process
- Ensure program collateral is current, comprehensive, and relevant for audience
- Create, maintain, and update referral database
- Complete weekly outreach reports and schedule outreach activities for the approaching week
- Track outreach efforts and evaluate impact by collecting reflective data
- Collaborate with social services directors to integrate data insights into strategic decision-making
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Partner with program directors to compose reports for current grants and sponsorship
- Performs all other tasks as directed by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relatable experience required
- Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Communications, Business Administration, Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) or related field
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of market trends and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exhibit patience, initiative, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of team
- Experience in workshop facilitation and health education
- Knowledge of community resources and social services
- Experience with grant writing
