Resilience U is a free workshop facilitated by Lisa Korman, PsyD, for teens to explore three main areas of growth: Self-Awareness, Relationships, and Skill Development.
Get equipped with the necessary tools for a successful transition to young adulthood, college, and beyond!

 

Fall 2024 TOPICS:
Self Awareness: Identifying Values and Beliefs
Tuesday, October 8 • 5:30pm-7pm

Explore the foundational element of self-awareness by identifying core values and beliefs. Gain insight into personal principles that guide your behaviors and decisions while continuing to foster a deeper understanding of yourself and your ability to navigate personal and academic growth with confidence.

Exploring Relationships: High School Students and their Parents
Tuesday, November 12 • 5:30pm-7pm

Delve into the dynamics between high school students and their parents during this transitional period from adolescence to young adulthood. As students grow and navigate this critical phase, the nature of family relationships undergoes significant changes. The need for both parents and students to develop new practices and understanding will be highlighted, focusing on exploring strategies to foster healthy communication and mutual respect, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for this life stage.

Skill Development: Learning Financial Literacy
Tuesday, December 17 • 5:30pm-7pm

Money knowledge improves lives. Aim to equip yourself with foundational knowledge and skills needed for effective money management. Explore key aspects of financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, and developing a mindset geared toward sound financial practices. Learn how to approach finances with the confidence to set you on a path toward long-term financial health and independence.

Participants earn 2 hours of Community Service per workshop
