LONG ISLAND JEWISH HISTORY MUSEUM AT SID JACOBSON JCC
125 YEARS OF SYNAGOGUES ON LONG ISLAND
125 Years of Synagogues on Long Island is the latest exhibit on display at SJJCC created by Jewish Historical Society of Long Island.
Along the walls to the right of our Health + Wellness Center entrance, are 18 photographs of synagogues in Nassau and Suffolk counties that have been selected based on their historical significance, architectural style, and other unique attributes. The exhibit showcases how synagogues in our communities have evolved over more than a century from the first built in Setauket in 1896 to the modern structures of today.
